Recent Loves: A Playlist For October

Music has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. It’s been there in the background, running through the best and worst times of my life, and everywhere in between.

I love how hearing a song or album can take you right back to a very specific time in your life; music has the power to lift you up and mellow you out and make you shake your butt with the best of them.

I’ve been wanting to make short playlists for a while, as a way to document what I’m listening to and to share some musical love. And, to remind myself of bands and artists that I love.  I’ve a bad habit of going through a phase of listening to one or two things (Hi, Julia Jacklin) and have short term memory blanks of other music.

Hopefully it’ll be a way to get some new music recommendations too! I love learning about new music. The thought of how much potentially brilliant music there is out there, yet to be heard, hurts my tiny brain.

So here’s what I’ve been listening to lately. Some of these are recent finds and some old favourites. I’d love to know what you’re current faves are, so let me know.
